About This Training

Are you interested in learning more about sound healing? Join Lauren + Julie of Sacred Sounds to Awaken the Alchemy Within - a 20 hour sound healing training, held over two weekends in October 2024.

These introductory classes will provide time for learning, practicing, and experiencing sound healing.

You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of the healing applications of sound tools like the gong, crystal singing bowls, drums and voice, as well as the confidence to lead your own sound healing events!

PART I: INTRODUCTION TO SOUND HEALING, ANCESTRAL INSTRUMENTS + INTRODUCTION TO THE GONG
Saturday October 12th + Sunday october 13th ・ 12pm - 5pm

Your sound training will begin with Introduction To Sound Healing, where we will review the sacred history of sound, the emotional and physical benefits as well as how sound is used for energy healing. 

Next, we’ll review Ancestral Instruments such as the drum, flute, didgeridoo, rattles, rainsticks, and more. Learn how to curate a drum circle, where to acquire ancestral tools and how to travel and care for them.

Part One of your sound training will end with Introduction to the Gong, where we will review the history of the gong, different types of gongs and how they are used for energy healing, as well as an introduction on how to play the gong. We’ll also cover the ins and outs of where to acquire a gong, suggested mallets and stands for your gong, and how to travel and take care of your gong. In this class you will learn, practice, apply your knowledge so that you can curate your own gong meditation.

PART II: Introduction to Crystal, Voice and The Integration
Saturday October 26th + Sunday october 27th ・ 12pm - 5pm

Part Two of your sound training will kick off with Introduction to Crystal, where we’ll review the sacred history of the use of crystal for healing, different types of crystal singing bowls and an overview on how to play them.  We’ll also cover the ins and outs of where to acquire crystal singing bowls, suggested mallets and cases, as well as travel and care tips. In this class you will learn, practice, and apply your knowledge so you can curate your own crystal singing bowl meditation.

Next, we’ll review the sacred history and evolution of the voice used during healing ceremonies in Introduction to Voice. You will learn techniques to open your throat chakra through vocal tuning and humming.

Your sound training will conclude with The Integration. In this module, you’ll continue to learn and practice how to create sound bath journeys individually and with others; incorporate collaborations with practices such as cacao, yoga, reiki, breathwork and more; create harmonious sounds to soothe the nervous system utilizing concepts of music theory. We will also give tips on how to share/record sound virtually so that you can share your sound healing with the world!
